    Interface Tear

The paper of the copy torn at one place, most often a tear running in from one of its edges. Each tear is a condition of its own, so that each can carry the belief it rests on and serve as a premise. A tear that runs into a chain of holes damages the chain as well, which is then stated of the chain as partially-torn.
